  1. There's a video from 2016 done at Brown University just after Trump won the election. One professor is almost in total denial while Mark Blyth who predicted Trump would win simply explains WHY he won. He quotes a report where in 2015 only 7 years after being bailed out that Wall Street bonuses totalled over $28 Billion and that's just the bonuses it didn't include their wages - just the bonuses. The entire total for everyone in America who was on minimum wage for 2015 was $14 Billion or about 1/2 what Wall Street got in bonuses. What that highlighted was there is a massive slab of America who have been left out of all the wealth gains. Mark Blyth's point was that was part of the cause of so much anger that Trump tapped into. That was in 2016 In late 2022 the Congressional Budget Office released a report on Family Wealth in America. Its easy to find and is one of those things everyone should know about but almost nobody talks about it because it condemns BOTH the GOP & Democrat establishments in America. Its truly staggering how much wealth the Top 10% of America has gained since the 1980s (its now over $60 Trillion). The Middle 40% have done sort of OK, but the Bottom 50% of America has gone nowhere since the late 80s and worse they got smashed in the 2007/08 GFC.
