  1. There's a few videos here on YT that detail parts of Finnish education system. I'm Australian and this is was shown on one of our prime time news & information programs when there were some questions about our standards. The main point being teacher qualifications. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xCe2m0kiSg It aggravated certain parts of or education establishment. Both my parents were high school teachers and they were speaking about this sort of stuff 25-30 years ago. In a nutshell Finland hasn't just mouthed off about the importance of giving every child a decent education they have actually done it. Part of that is the drive to have the best trained teachers in the world, which they've done. Finnish society puts a value on teaching as a profession and educating their nation as a priority. If you listen to some of the socioeconomics people many of them talk about the advantage of being better educated in a more technical world. Where do you think the Finns are headed?
