  1. Ukraine can't become a NATO member because in the NATO charter there's a clause that states new members CAN'T have borders in dispute. That's why Putin started the breakaway regions - Crimea & Donetsk (in Ukraine), Transnistria (in Moldova), Nagorno-Karabakh (in Azerbaijan),... etc. It prevents those countries joining NATO. I'm Australian and I know this how come most of the news service don't mention it.
