Seiki Well I'm Australian and briefly worked in China and I never saw a Muslin restaurant ANYWHERE. As for the labor camps. The western world ahs a history of bad behavior INCLUDING labor camps. So we know what it is we can see in the photographs. This isn't about avoiding our past and our bad behavior its about pointing out a RACIST GENOCIDAL PLAN. Nobody likes having their bad shit thrown back at them, but every so often you need reminding that what you have done or are still doing IS WRONG.

Yee Tian Well its pretty clear from your name where you are from. And how the hell do dare make that comparison. There are many Americans and British people screaming about the middle east situation. And how does that compare or excuse forcing people into labor camps or having women forcibly sterilized. Go have a hard look at yourself in a mirror and ask yourself some honest questions and see if you tell any honest answers.

Yee Tian Well being from Canada should make you appreciate having choices and a government that can be held accountable. I'm Australian and there is growing anger over Chinese influence peddling here and across the Southern Pacific. We went to bolster our laws with foreign money in our politics after we'd finally had enough of the Americans, British, Israeli, Saudi and Chinese money in our politics. BUT only China complained and only China threatened us with sanctions. Anytime we speak China waves a finger at us and tells us to mind our own business and then they come down here and try and bribe our leaders. Trust me many many Australians are getting tired of China's hypocrisy. To be fair we've had enough of the hypocrisy of others as well and that includes our own leaders. If you really are in Canada you should be furious over the Fentanyl crisis that has devastated parts of Canada. I was there in 2017 when it was raging so I know it all comes from China and can only be exported out of China with the CCP letting it happen. There are many things abut Trump that were so bad and so flawed that its hard to start listing them. But one of his catastrophic failures was HOW he dealt with China. What he should have done was slap them with a CARBON TAX and used it to hammer them. Europe, Australia and others would have followed suit and then we might have a chance to save the planet. The CCP, GOP, British Tories and others better learn real fast that we all live on this planet and if it dies we die.

@shamanahaboolist I think you need to do some research and check some facts. FENTANYL - is just one of several SYNTHETIC Opioids opiate and a lot of it is made in Chinese labs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opioid#Synthetic_opioids The majority of Illegal Opium until recent decades came from the Golden triangle which is in SE Asia. The majority of legally produced opiates for medications come from highly regulated farms in a number of places around the world.

@shamanahaboolist Are you this ignorant or that uneducated? Opium has been smoked throughout Asia for centuries and they have had addiction issues FOR CENTURIES. Opiates as an addictive issue is NOT just a Western issue and NEVER WAS. The current issue with Opiate addiction in places like America with the massive over prescription of drugs like Oxycontin is nothing but the result of greed. They (the manufacturers) claimed Oxycontin (Oxycodone) was NOT addictive. That was a lie from the start. Its an opiate and all opiates are addictive. It has to be very carefully used for pain control and instead the Sackler family wanted to make money. Just go and learn what facts are before you make yourself look any more stupid than you've already done.
1
@shamanahaboolist Well DUH. You mention the opium wars. Funny you know about the historical use of opium which which goes back a long time before the Opium Wars. Opium was already used in Chinese society BEFORE the Westerners arrived. How ignorant are you? So you're in the UK are you. Well then you should have gotten a better education than your ignorance shows. Or are you another one of these people who's immigrated to a Western country and then complains that you haven't been showered in gold. If Western society is so bad compared to wherever you came from then go back and have a better life. And what do you actually mean by pharmaceutical distribution? For all anyone knows your just a delivery driver. If you had any real expertise you would have said so. And considering your ignorance I doubt you're anything more than a delivery driver, or warehouse clerk.

@andresviveros3994 Your forgetting all the outcry for the Rohinga Muslims. And there's plenty of people in the west who are critical of Israel and its behavior. Yu have to remember that the Israel-Palestinian issue is super complex and has been a mess since they formation of Israel. People like you either forget or ignore that the British who controlled Palestine were part of the original 2 state plan back in the late 1940s. That plan was NOT rejected by the world it was rejected by the Arab League. The reason there isn't an Independent Palestinian nation isn't because of the Americans, British or anybody else. Its because the Arab League voted against it. Go check your history. Its not to say that since that time the West hasn't favored Israel because that would be stupid. What I find that Israel (and their supporters) should be condemned for is the basic way they see and treat Palestinians. They are people and like all people they deserve some basic rights. After all that is what the Israeli people have demanded for 70+ years - basic human rights. You can't demand basic human rights and then deny others of those same basic rights.

@SS-tr6ei Careful there are some seriously nasty, ugly and racist pro-CCP trolls hunting on some of these pages. Notably the anti-BBC pages. When I mean racist I mean proper genuine racist.

Seiki I can tell very simply why Australia is about to break a lot of contracts with China. We've caught them repeatedly interfering in our country. They are not the only ones to have done so. We had Britain doing it for many years. But then they joined the EU and told us to get lost. It almost bankrupted our economy. We have had the Americans since and the Japanese to a lesser extent. When we finally had enough of foreign money in our politics and went to tighten our Laws ONLY 1 COUNTRY PROTESTED - CHINA. The Chinese view of foreign affairs is we do what we like we do what we want and fuck the rest of the planet. Its not that far from the American or British or Russian policies of the past, but the fact is we don't live in the past we live in the here and now. When I was there I rode the maglev in from Shanghai Airport and rode the Fast Train back. China is NOT a developing nation it is a DEVELOPED NATION and can start acting responsibly as a developed nation. And the first step in that is they STOP interfering in other countries. The 2nd step is they stop the staggering environmental damage they are doing in that they burn half the worlds coal supply. The then STOP selling coal technology ad other damaging technologies to developing nations. The world cannot afford China or the way China does business. The Uighurs are just indicative of the Chinese Communist Party's view of itself and the world wont tolerate that much longer just as it wont tolerate American bullshit or any other bullshit either. 🤷♂️🤷♀️
