Its what EVERY COUNTRY that's had to fight a major war does. Go and look at what the Brits and Americans did in WW2 - we still have the films and posters that plastered the streets with. Just the other day I heard somebody make references to Rosie the Riveter which was part of a campaign getting women to help build the bombers, ships and other stuff in WW2.

@kethughes8266 Well Vietnam was a police action!! Politicians always have an "alternative label." I even once heard that Bill Clinton called it "Oral validation of instructions given by the Commander in Chief."

@kethughes8266 I'm Australian and had a thorough education in British Politics via 3 seasons of Yes Minister and 2 seasons of Yes Prime Minister. Go look up - Officially Official or Sir Humphrey Appleby on the Proper Function of Government and its follow up The Rhodesia Solution

@Lennybird91 Fair call and this is NOT uncommon and many countries have done it. Some of the North Korean stuff is insane. But have a look at some of the political spin news stories coming out of America these days. The other day I saw a vid panning Ted Cruz on a staged stunt he did at a bar. I'm Australian and we do it at times. Just recently the American LCS Ship the Canberra had its commissioning ceremony here in Australia as its named after our capital city. I saw a news item where an Australian Navy officer stood there and talked about how impressive the ship was and how it displayed our ongoing links to America and how firm they were. All gee golly gosh stuff. Just days before that happened I watched a review of the LCS Independence class on the YT Channel "Sub Brief" and he pointed out the many issues with the Independence-class and also pointed out how the Canberra was the first ship in US Navy history to have its decommissioning date set BEFORE its commissioning ceremony. So yeah Putin's stuff is super cringeworthy and totally staged BUT WE ALL DO SIMILAR. Its just that we are better at disguising it.

@ABanRocks You make an incredibly valid point and its been repeated all through history. if you look at some of last century's list of maniacs - Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot,... and then go back thought history you have to wonder WHY-TF anyone follows these clowns AND YET THEY DO.
