I'm Australian and even though I have never been to Brazil I find it an extraordinary country that's been working hard to develop. I did aerospace engineering and I wish we had a company like Embraer, which is a great success story. There were many comparisons between the Olympics we held in Sydney and those In Rio. I thought overall Brazil did a great job of hosting them. We have held a number of such games and had some practice at it so for a first time effort it was great. But its clear Brazil also is going through some growing pains, particularly with the wealth gap. Do you know that most of the Western world NOW has a severe wealth gap that's causing all sorts of trouble. If there is one thing I'd advise Brazil is don't be so eager to repeat our mistakes - learn from them. And I'd say the same to most of Africa, Asia, and the rest of the developing world. @hugoepcastro Have a look through some of the other comments. The ignorance and stupidity of so many people made this the disaster it is and that same ignorance and stupidity is going to drag this out for longer than necessary killing a lot more people as it happens. What angers me is that a lot of good people have already been hurt or died and a lot more are going to be hurt or die because of the SELFISH ignorance and stupidity of people who should just shut up. Its just a shame COVID doesn't selectively attack dumb people or it would have been a blessing.

@hugoepcastro No probs. You sounded like you could do with some encouragement. We got very, very lucky in Australia. When it arrived we were just about to have our grand prix and start our football seasons. They all got cancelled or postponed and that saved us. At one point we let our guard down and 700 died in 1 outbreak. If we had not got lucky that could easily have been 20,000 or more.

@paulkoon4624 Wake up - geriatric and obese people are some of the most susceptible for a whole range of ailments. But just like other diseases can strike at the fittest in society so can COVID - AND IT HAS. There have been plenty of younger people who got it and some of them died. Al lot of the medical people who died weren't obese of geriatric. Come on these FACTs are old news.
