  2. Also I read a sci-fi book a number of years ago (sorry forgot the title and author) but as humanity started to explore the wider galaxy all they cam across were commercial AIs. The premise was that any society that could develop an economy and technology would eventually hand over financial & commercial control to their AIs which could just do everything in the commercial space so fast that no sentient species could match them. The problem gets exacerbated when they just keep producing more and more powerful AIs to out compete the other AIs. Eventually the original sentient species was no longer in the equations and simply died out. So no matter where the humans looked they kept encountering these AIs hell bent of dominating economically and then wiping out anything that was sub-par and that meant sentient species because robots don't need food or water and can work 24/7. The algorithms are already winning its just a matter of time before they rule over everything. Robert Mercer the American Billionaire who has a PhD in computer science has a Gold Club hedge fund that in a bad year makes around 39% and in better years makes around 80%. Do you think he's doing that with a slide rule and graph paper?
