@Randytherumbler Actually the EPA isn't corrupt. Its like so many other agencies around the world (most notably the FAA and other aviation agencies) its been castrated by business interests and political shitfuckery. You mentioned Cancer Alley. I'm Australian and even we are aware of that place. I actually went to college in America and love the place, the people and the culture BUT FOR F*CK SAKE we hate your CORPORATIONS and the BULLSHlT version of capitalism you have rammed down everyone's throats. I'm no socialist or communist. You only have to look at what they did to Eastern Europe to know how full of crap that lot are AND THEY'VE DONE massive amounts of environmental damage. They've done stuff that makes Cancer Alley look like Disneyland. America's #1 problem is the University of Chicago and more so what's come out of that place. I went to U. of Illinois so I know about the University of Chicago and how it was founded with JD Rockefeller's money. That 1 University has done so much damage to human society they make the Nazis, Soviets and Chinese Commies look like amateurs. Out of that 1 University came: - The Consulting industry that was started with James McKinsey who was professor of accounting at UC. - The Chicago School Neoliberal economics that has caused the greatest wealth transfer in history. - Neo-conservative Libertarian politics that's ripped the world apart for the last 20+ years. Right now Australia's mega problem is the consulting industry and it would take pages to explain the basics of what they have done. It all centres around PwC but in the mix are Deloitte, EY and KPMG with McKinsey lurking in the shadows AND THEY ARE ALL AMERICAN COMPANIES and you can expect the Australian people to eventually respond. What I fear most of all is that Australians will collectively blame America instead of that Top 1% who are the problem. Please understand figuratively speaking we love the first 99% of America but that last 1% is so damn awful and destructive that we'll throw all of you overboard to get rid of them. America needs to realise that their Top 1%, which does incredible harm TO YOU also does mountain size chunks harm all over the planet and people are getting tired of it.

That's a brilliant idea and unfortunately its a fallacy. The reality is that human beings in general have always followed what was convenient rather than follow what was right. One of the great minds of the 20th century was the author Isaac Asimov and among how most famous quotes is this one from Newsweek in 1980. “There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.” ― Isaac Asimov I'm Australian and I can so easily substitute Australia into that quote. Just go to any Australian football or rugby match and you'll have proof of that. I'm certain whatever other countries people are from or cultural group they are from can just as easily substitute the appropriate name. A while back I tried generalizing Asimov's quote and came up with this. If anyone has a better version please give it to us. “There is a cult of ignorance within humanity, and there always has been.
