  1. I'm an Australian engineer and you are the FIRST Person I have seen get this right in a while. The REAL PROBLEM with HOC is that its OWNED by a foreign entity. We are making this same mistake n Australia. I have been arguing for several years that when someone comes here and spends AU$1 Billion on an energy project they are going to take AT LEAST AU$2 Billion back out of the country. There's a basic rule my boss explained to me over 25 years ago on investing. It goes by various names but he called it "1 in 2 out." What he told me and others in our company was that "after you put that $1 in the first $1 out just breaks even. You have to make the second $1 to make money.* That's just for basic standard investments. For these long term investments its more like 1 in 4 out. If you look at how much power will come out of HPC and that it will do that for 60 years maybe 80 then in basic terms the British public will be NOT ONLY paying for HPC but more likely the next 3 (2 x EPR2) power stations in France. If the French both it all up then they'll only get 2 free power stations out of the British people. If the French get smart then they might get 4 free power stations out of the British people. I have done the math its staggering just how much money this thing will end up making.
