As an engineer I absolutely get where you are coming from BUT just saying if they don't support nuclear they are a fool and liar is being just as ridiculous and pig headed as the anti-nuclear Greenies. Everybody needs to stop making ridiculous claims how this or that technology is the only solution. You mention options which is great. The first thing you need to understand with options is that what works in one place might not work anywhere else or it might work in many places or it might be the WORST option in some other places. This is the basic thing that infuriates me as an engineer. There's all these people who are not engineers making all these claims that might be true in some instances and totally untrue in others. In Canad hydro is great they have lots of water and suitable valleys, but its basically useless for solar. Over in North Africa hydro is useless they don;t have any suitable rivers but they have lots of wide open spaces and endless sun for solar. The most important thing going forward is that all non-engineering people need to SHUT T F UP. Either that or they can all go off to college for 4 years bust there ass learning what they need then spend a decade or 2 learning how to do projects and build stuff and then they might start being worth listening too.
