Both my parents were high school teachers in Australia and we got to know a number of US teachers who came to Australia. Plus I went to college in America. I have friends here in Australia who are teachers. I have heard this stuff for decades. Lets not be under any illusion BOTH SIDES of politics, the radical LEFT and the radical RIGHT see schools as a battle ground for the future of Western Civilisation. They both fight these battles in insidious ways. It doesn't matter if they are religious fundamentalists trying to force feed ideology or commercial people denying climate science, technology providers promoting various technologies or social theorists using school children as lab rats. THEY ARE ALL WRONG. THEY ARE ALL DISGUSTING. THEY ALL NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM EVERY EDUCATION SYSTEM. Educating the next generation so they can contribute and help grow any society is vital for the future of any society. Allowing ANY group for almost any reason to take over part or all of that process harms the future. Every generation no matter what system eventually gets to an age where they are dependant on younger generations to provide for them. Wrecking the productivity of younger generations eventually ruins your own life. Go and look at history to see how many great empires collapsed. It was never the sole reason or problem but in amongst all of it was a failure of education that eventually caused issues.

@lr6477 On some subjects and on others I lean right. I am not ideologically drive and I have no time or respect for ignorant clowns who are blinded by ideology.

@chrischestarrow9031 As I said I went to college in America. It was the late 80s but even then there were signs America was in decline. I was very lucky in that I went to a very good school and did aerospace engineering, but even there among the American students there were signs. They had such a poor grasp of the rest of the world. In high school I had read both Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984. Our teachers were of the opinion that we should understand why the Soviet system and totalitarian rule weren't good things. My American classmates knew the Soviet System wasn't good but it was an impossibility to them that America could ever fall into that trap. One hand they were right the US Constitution had mechanisms designed to prevent a dictatorship ever happening. What they never could grasp that powerful people with bad intentions always find ways around those obstacles. The biggest problem right now is that almost every public discussion gets hijacked by people wanting to drag every discussion into the most jet black versus jet white hyper argument. The world isn't black and white, its 7.8 billion shades of grey. Worse is that these people who hijack public discussions often point the finger and just scream about how "the other side does X, Y & Z. The worst things possible," while they do the same basic thing(s). This issue with indoctrination in education is a perfect example. Both sides scream about the other side doing what they do.

@zxyatiywariii8 Thanks, people need to keep reminding everyone that it doesn't matter which ideology they rant about extremists FK everything they touch.

@wessexmom I just noticed that 8 months ago the guys interviewed a real POS named Christopher Rufo. He's the guy who set of the whole CR thing in America. John Oliver did a video on CRT recently and he pointed out how this guy just chose a topic to dog whistle and ignite a storm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EICp1vGlh_U It doesn't matter if they are from the LEFT or RIGHT we need to get all of these radicals out of the schools everywhere. Not just America but everywhere.

@BasedYoga Thanks I am getting so tired of the politicians and commentators screaming at the "other side" for doing the same things they do. This is why no matter how people vote the same stuff keeps happening. They call in the consultants to justify how they will cut services, sell anything and privatise everything while spending more and more on the military.
