Australian here FYI - I went to college in America on a sports scholarship and love the place, the people and especially college sport, BUT your politics is disgustingly toxic. Ours isn't much better but at least we have rules or at least believe in them. The problem is that we have all played this game where we believed we lived in a World with rules, when the reality was the rules were always pretty vague. The fundamental problem is the entire developed World is riddled with dysfunctional parties who only seem interested in the current news cycle. That's compounded by all these parties being overly compromised by money or special interests as well as reacting to endless polling pumped by the media.
