I did aerospace engineering and a girl I went to college with is now a very senior manager at NASA on the ISS.   2. What's happening is that for the first time in decades we are seeing IN A WESTERN DEMOCRACY what has been going on in places like North Korea for decades. If you have ever seen news stories where Western journalists were actually let into North Korea then you'd know these people are behaving is exactly the same way North Koreans do. A number of years ago (before the current leader Kim Jong Un came to power) ABC Australia was let to do a story about the Arirang Mass Games. Those are the giant dancing, acrobatics and gymnastics events they do to celebrate North Korean brilliance (look it up on Wikipedia). What I specifically remember was how the North Korean children BELIEVED to their core that being selected to participate in those games would be the highlight of their lives because it was a celebration of how great the "Dear Leader" Kim Jong Il was. It was pretty freaky stuff how they were totally entrapped in the mindset of this great leader who would lead them to some promised magical land or plenty and free them from the oppression of the rest of the world. We are seeing the same stuff with Trumpistan. As Sam Harris calls the Trump nation/tribe.

His resorts made money from: 1) Renting rooms for the Secret Service 2) Renting golf buggies for the Secret Service 3) Food and catering for the Secret Service 4) Renting rooms to foreign nations because the easiest way to get access to Trump was on the golf course. Some of the Villas and rooms were rented CONSTANTLY over several years at top rates. This might not be known much in America but its widely known around the world.

  8. I'm Australian but went to college in Illinois in the late 80s. Even back then you could see parts of this growing. I did engineering but a bunch of my friends were pre-law and we used to discuss the differences between America and Australia. I had studied Orwell (Animal Farm & 1984) and used to argue that any country could fall into an authoritarian nightmare if it wasn't careful. THAT WAS Orwell's message. They used to assure me it was impossible in America because the Constitution would not allow it as there were to many "checks and balances" what as an engineer I'd call "safety functions." The main safety function was SCOTUS and as they told me repeatedly SCOTUS will always protect the constitution. We never discussed or even considered what a corrupted SCOTUS might mean let alone do because it wasn't even fathomable HOW it could be done. So you know why this is of very serious concern to other nations. Many of us, Australia (me), Canada, Mexico, Japan, Britain, all of Europe have not only got major trade relations with America but also SECURITY arrangements with America. What Alito and others have just done is destabilise America without any regard to the consequences for America. So the rest of the planet doesn't even register with these people. What people like Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene are clearly doing is trying to place themselves as Trumps running mate. What do you think that means to the rest of the world when they'd be 1 step from being in charge of nuclear weapons. And so you all know, we know Mike Flynn's brother Charles Flynn is the commanding general of United States Army Pacific. He's also a Christian Nationalist like his brother and has a command staff made up of Christian Nationalists. Paul Jay at "the AnalysisNew" channel here interviewed a lawyer who's clients are military people being harassed by Christian Nationalists.

  9. You'd think somebody with a college education would simply have a better understanding of the world and how it works or at least how their own country works. Even, as an Australian I know this idea violates the 14th Amendment. I actually went to college in America (late 80s). I did engineering but a bunch of my friends were pre-law. They loved explaining to me how great the US Constitution is and what all the Amendments guarantee and how they work. They were proud of the US Constitution and VALUED what it gave them. It staggers me that Americans used to have so much pride in their constitution. It used to freak me out how all of the college kids I knew could all explain it because they had all done civics in high school. Its barely comprehensible that people like MTG not only exist but that they want to tear the US Constitution apart.

Its something that has infected governments, institutions AND the PRIVATE SECTOR since the start of civilisation. Its a form of nepotism where people with connections get promoted IRRESPECTIVE of the merit or experience of others. In Judge Cannon's case (and this is on her Wikipedia bio) she is a member of the Federalist Society. She is NOT a judge because she has shown she's proven herself as a capable lawyer in cases. She's a judge because she's a member of a "club" and has friends.

You see like it or NOT this affects our LONG TERM trade and our LONG TERM security and if you guys don't deal with this clown then sooner WE WILL. The guys just down the street (and I do mean they really were just down the street) meant well in that they were making computers and information access so much easier. Unfortunately nobody could have predicted (at the time) social media and how that let the journalists forget how to be journalists despite making fact checking 1,000,000 times faster and easier. Plus nobody had a clue that it would also let the village idiots of the world gather together and share their stupidity to a wider audience.

In fact I haven't heard any good things about him BUT if it is allowed that people who are POLITICALLY CONNECTED like Bannon, Giuliani and their associates to STEAL or ILLEGALLY OBTAIN PRIVATE PROPERTY and use it then we are all in trouble. There's a reason why the 4th Amendment exists, because governments and their agents all through history have proven they can't be trusted. PERSONAL DATA is PRIVATE PROPERTY unless its made it publicly available or handed it over to another party in which case its covered by whatever agreement has been made. The only rights Rudy Giuliani (who is/was a lawyer) and others had was to either return that laptop or hand it over to police. The fact that they copied the data onto other hard drives SHOWS INTENT. You can't inadvertently copy a hard drive, maybe some files but NOT an entire hard drive. I'm not a lawyer but I had a bunch of college friends who were pre-law and they used to argue this sort of stuff all the time. Hunter Biden MIGHT even have a claim that these people violated his civil rights by virtue of them violating his 4th Amendment rights. I'd like to hear a real lawyer on that. Even if it could be proven that it was abandoned and was free to take then there's the issue of EVIDENCE TAMPERING. Because of their wilful mishandling of this data NOBODY can use it in any court of law to prove or disprove anything. Its absolutely unusable in court because of their deliberate actions.

How is Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Britain, Europe, The Philippines and dozens of other countries supposed to deal with the American Military when NONE OF US CAN RELY on the American officers because nobody knows if they got their commission on MERIT or POLITICAL ideology? 1) We are being asked to spend as part of the AUKUS Agreement AU$268 to AU$368 BILLION. We have already ear marked almost AU$4 Billion to help upgrade YOUR AMERICAN SHIPYARDS. 2) There is the ongoing war in Ukraine. 3) There is the ongoing war/action in Gaza. 4) There are the ongoing issues with China. This clown Tuberville is so bad even the other GOP clowns want him out.

Its cost Britain billions and got them nowhere and its on the same basic narrative: "We have to take back our country." Do you know that the same American billionaire Robert Mercer who funded most of the Brexit campaign is also the money behind Steve Bannon's Breitbart News and the same billionaire who funded a lot of Trumps campaign. Common to both campaigns was the narrative: "We have to take back our country." Is there any wonder Sarah Sanders pushing the same narrative. Because the CRT campaign is one of the things that came out of that narrative.

Every democratic nation irrespective of demographics and how they actually elect their government has places that will always vote one way and other places that swing from election to election. Hilary Clinton and her "strategists" flipped off Michigan one of the key swing states and by flipping off Michigan she flipped of the entire rust belt which has the key swing states of Ohio and Pennsylvania. HAS ANYONE involved in the 2016 debacle accepted even the slightest responsibility for that? In 2020 the Dems won the Whitehouse, BUT LOST seats in the House and failed to win a clear majority of the Senate and they lost seats in state houses everywhere.
