Hunter Biden might be a lot of BAD things. In fact I haven't heard any good things about him BUT if it is allowed that people who are POLITICALLY CONNECTED like Bannon, Giuliani and their associates to STEAL or ILLEGALLY OBTAIN PRIVATE PROPERTY and use it then we are all in trouble. There's a reason why the 4th Amendment exists, because governments and their agents all through history have proven they can't be trusted. PERSONAL DATA is PRIVATE PROPERTY unless its made it publicly available or handed it over to another party in which case its covered by whatever agreement has been made. The only rights Rudy Giuliani (who is/was a lawyer) and others had was to either return that laptop or hand it over to police. The fact that they copied the data onto other hard drives SHOWS INTENT. You can't inadvertently copy a hard drive, maybe some files but NOT an entire hard drive. I'm not a lawyer but I had a bunch of college friends who were pre-law and they used to argue this sort of stuff all the time. Hunter Biden MIGHT even have a claim that these people violated his civil rights by virtue of them violating his 4th Amendment rights. I'd like to hear a real lawyer on that. Even if it could be proven that it was abandoned and was free to take then there's the issue of EVIDENCE TAMPERING. Because of their wilful mishandling of this data NOBODY can use it in any court of law to prove or disprove anything. Its absolutely unusable in court because of their deliberate actions.
