There's actually a very simple philosophical/logical discussion point on "Are We Alone" It doesn't matter if you believe in creation or evolution the answer is the same, with one tiny exception. If you believe in God or Gods then you you also believe there are non-human beings who have at various times interacted with humanity. Therefore you believe we are not alone. If you believe in evolution than as we no know almost every star not in a galactic core has planets. So for every billion stars there's between 5 and 10 billion planets and the Milky Way (our galaxy) has between 100 and 400 Billion stars. Therefore you believe their is life somewhere and we are not alone. The rarest of all people are that tiny minority who truly believe we are alone. The real question isn't are we alone. The real question is "Where are they and can they help us?"

@JohnMichaelGodier As an engineer who works in the real world let me be as blunt as possible with YT throwing me away. This is 23 minutes and 17 seconds of FANTASY NONSENSE by yet another "futurist." It is utterly infuriating to have people with ZERO training in technology to be peddling this sort of nonsense as if its real. Because of people like you peddling nonsense other people who actually know how to do engineering and science have to spend more and more time explaining to everyday people WHY this stuff is nonsense and that people like you are peddling science fiction as if it was science fact. And for the record I have a degree in aerospace engineering and have over 30 years working industrial control systems, automation and robotics. I actually design the sensor & actuator systems as well as WRITE the software for machines for a living. I have written algorithms that by themselves can work out how to make a process work as desired. If I described them to a clown like you you'd think it was godlike and would make idiotic claims. In reality it was just what we call a rules based algorithm. There's nothing dramatic about such programs, but to IGNORANT people they are somehow magical. FYI - Like most STEM people I love sci-fi, but hate people who peddle it as if it was real. SO PLEASE STOP PEDDLING FANTASY AS IF IT WERE FACT.
