Australian here with an outside perspective and the same comment I just gave someone else. I have been trying to tell people for over 2 years that Biden needed to sack Garland. Almost from the start of his tenure he made it obvious he didn't want to prosecute an ex-president. The AG's job is NOT political is about upholding the law. Garland was so concerned about the politics that he forgot that the Law was his job and he made it political by not acting. History is going to be brutal and blunt on Garland and Jack Smith for being gutless as well as Biden and Harris (who are both Lawyers) for being even more gutless.

@Jack-yf3ef Well said I keep mentioning Jack Smith in the hope people wont forget how pathetically he did. It also needs to be kept in mind that BOTH Biden and Harris are lawyers and the fact that NONE of them stood up for the law is an indictment on ALL of them.

@Jack-yf3ef Sorry but NO jack Smith dragged his feet for 2 years. Instead of going for the "Everything case" where they dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't' he should have just gone to court with the first batch of documents and slammed the door on Trump. He should NOT have wasted all the time he did and just got a conviction. Like everyone else he was so concerned with NOT losing that he forgot what the actual task was and get a conviction.

@Jack-yf3ef I'm an engineer and many years ago I had a conversation with my boss about a particularly stupid client. We just could not get them to see what was the best solution. My boss told me "Sometimes you have to step back and let the client hurt themselves!" I think that's how a lot of people are going to treat America and ESPECIALLY the Democrats who have been so arrogantly stupid there's actually not much left to rescue. The old core of the Republicans are already gone so there's nothing left to save there.
