  7.  @ProfSteveKeen  Steve its not that the fuel tanks were vertical or horizontal its that they were that close to the launch pad AT ALL. Go look at the aftermath photos from Starship 1 and look at the damage the fuel tanks had. TRY and FIND where the fuel tanks are at Kennedy????? FYI - I am not only FORMALLY trained in BOTH safety engineering and explosive gas & dust mitigation BUT CERTIFIED IN BOTH. I was very lucky because BOTH my trainers were World class subject matter experts. One of the biggest mistakes people make with ALL FUEL TANKS including diesel is the main danger is NOT when they are full but when they are less than 70% full and close to empty can be lethal because that's when you actually have explosive levels of gas & vapour inside the tanks. AND YES I HAVE HAD THESE ARGUMENTS with other engineers on mine sites especially with diesel. Once a diesel tank is 50% empty its a damn serious threat in the Pilbara. Because of the high temperatures it boils of the more explosive fractions in the diesel and that vapour space includes outside air that's bee drawn in through the vent. I loth day I am proven right and one of them pops because for anyone nearby its going to be a horrible day. ALSO one of the GREAT LIES of Hollywood are exploding pipe lines. To have an explosion you need fuel + oxidiser and an ignition source. All that's in a pipeline is fuel. There is NO air in a gas or oil pipeline. That's how we all know Nord Stream was sabotage. We also know that because of the water depth it was the Americans. Nobody else has that skill set. You need to realise this is stuff I am formally trained and certified in AND those are WORLD CLASS qualifications. I'm not an interested person with an opinion I have the certificates to give evidence in court. My trainer in safety engineering was not simply an expert he was "THE" expert on the subject. At the time (2007) he was the lead advisor to Homeland Security in America because post 9/11 they started to look at vulnerabilities and he was the go to guy on securing the energy grid, nuclear power stations and other major high risk facilities. I know how you feel when main stream economists give you flak because I get the same from other engineers. They hate that I have the qualifications and expertise I have. I can't put it on my resume anymore because it keeps me unemployed because the idiots in HR think I'll cost too much. Its already hard enough being an engineer these days with all the influence of economists. Do you know that all the energy reports here in Australia are by economists. Chris Bowen the energy minister and his opposite Ted O'Brien had a stupid fest of staggering proportions on TV recently. The only people the media interview on energy are economists. NOBODY has asked 1 engineer what we should be doing. WE ARE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO SPEAK. That's where the frustration is coming from. Right now I am almost unemployable because of economists.
