  2. What do you mean by "our government?" I'm Australian - do you think we are any different? I was working in Canada a couple of years ago. When it came to politics it was like living in Australia only with snow! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️ Go watch DW or BBC and its the same everywhere across western democratic societies.

  3.  @simonfarre4907  There's no Western Government that's not bent and twisted in some way. Its just way more obvious in some countries than others. The Nordic countries seem to have it less than many others. We are certainly not as bad as many but not as good as others. I think New Zealand by virtue of its size is less corrupted than us, but it still has issues. Canada and Australia are very close in population size, both are resource rich and both being exploited by locals and foreigners. The nest few years will be very interesting.

  7.  @simonfarre4907  Norway is an embarrassment to so many other nations we don't like talking about them (but we have to 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️). They are the absolute Olympic gold medal masters of Sovereign wealth funds. They are so far ahead of every other nation in developing one and managing one its not worth even trying to compare. They aren't perfect as a society by any measure. The world wont forget Anders Breivik anytime soon. I have worked in Australia's oil & gas industry and the joke is that before the North Sea runs dry all of Norway will live for free off the interest of their SWF. We have one (called the Australia Future Fund) and its reasonable (better than nothing) but every time we try and measure it against Norway's its not pretty. They just got into it so much earlier than everybody else and are so far ahead it will take years or decades to catch up.
