Yeah a fighter pilot who fly's around with his iPhone in his pocket and switched on and ready to take happy snaps and selfies - not likely. This might be a surprise to some but even civilian pilots generally turn their phones OFF before flying. YES I'm one and YES there are headsets that can now Bluetooth to your phone, but I have never seen anyone carry or use one. You are generally watching so much stuff that a phone call is just to dangerous. Is it possible that a military pilot was that undisciplined? YES, but I'd expect he got an ass kicking of legendary proportions.
