Well current count is 548,013 (March 16, 2021) -> https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ About this time last year I started comparing the COVID toll to the capacities of North American Football stadiums. Day by day, week by week it rose up that list and eventually went past Michigan Stadium's 107,000 around June 1, 2020. By Early August it went past the 162,000 Bristol Speedway can hold and by about mid November it went past the 257,000 (permanent seats) of Indianapolis Speedway. Now its more than that. Can you imagine taking the entire crowd of a Michigan home game and simply killing them all and then doing it 4 more times? Can you imagine taking the crowd at the Indy 500 (~400,000) and killing them all and then killing all the crowd at Bristol? Well now you know what COVID-19 has done to America and all Mitch McConnell can do is spew out idiotic lies pandering to his base.
36
He forgot to mention that Chavez has been DEAD FOR 7 YEARS.
27
This isn't hypocrisy its straight out lying. What freedoms have been taken? Its the states that are changing election laws on the federal government. The courts are currently stacked with GOP mutts. SCOTUS is 6:3 GOP. These 2 are just plain liars.

TO ALL FROM AUSTRALIA Here are the links to the interview and the full program it was done as part of. A bit of background for those unfamiliar with Australia's ABC and the program called "4 Corners" this interview was done for. Australia's ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) no affiliation to America's ABC. It is our public broadcaster in a similar way to America's PBS and the British BBC. The program "4 Corners" does investigative long length stories the same way PBS's Frontline and BBC's Panorama do. This interview was done as part of a 2 Part special about how the Murdoch owned Fox News became Donald Trumps propaganda machine called "Fox and the Big Lie". The program included interviews with several ex-Fox presenters including Gretchen Carlson as well as the Sidney Powel interview. I have put a few more details in a comment about the Murdoch's and their issues in Australia. Actually her proper title is White House Press Secretary. The best in modern history is questionable, but CERTAINLY out of the last 5.

Your right on the suspicions of both sides. They only thing you have to consider is which of these various acts need to be actually dealt with. The staggering levels of corruption in governments across the world these days is no longer a matter of conjecture its a matter of how bad they are. In America the blatant corruption of the Republicans is clearly worse than the Democrats but the Democrats by almost any measure are disgraceful. They just aren't as cynically ruthless as the Republicans. I'm Australian and it might not be as bad but both sides of our politics are beyond saving. I was in Canada for work a few years back and it was the same there. I meet people from Europe all the time and all I hear are similar stories. Western democracy is at a crossroads, either our political parties start recognizing that they have to do more than simply satisfy the billionaire class or we are headed for revolutions. Look at history again and again it tells us when the top 1% strip and rob the rest of all dignity and opportunity then revolutions are inevitable. 🤷♂️🤷♀️

She needs to take him down to Trump's sex dungeon and help him get over his mummy issues.

Actually its not that surprising or should not be that surprising. Look at the televangelists, flat earth brigade, moon landing hoaxers or any of some of the other idiotic things that millions of Americans believe in. For one example look at Kenneth Copeland the low end estimates of his wealth is $350 million. Another is Alex Jones who apparently makes over $50million a year from his over priced overrated name brand products. How about the scammers claiming the Apollo missions were faked as they sell all sorts of crap to gullible people. What Trump has actually exposed is how gullible people can be (even in a developed nation) if you stop funding education properly. He's raised over $200million SINCE the election that will help pay off his debts and pay for the lawyers. Giuliani is charging $20k a day. Why wouldn't they keep this going as long as possible when 10s of millions are coming in each week that they pocket.
11
As an Australian let me spell these stats out to any Ted Cruz supporters who might be trolling. Australia has 25.7 million people compared to Texas with just under 29million. So we have a similar sized population. I went to college in America and have been to Texas several times. Australia and Texas are fairly similar in geography - as in mainly flat, with similar weather. We are both reasonably spread out with a few major population centers. Most importantly the available medical technologies are essentially identical. Texas has 69,760 dead from COVID while Australia has 1,577. Based on population Texans are almost 40x more likely to have died from COVID. So please Teddy (and any of his supporters), don't tell us anything about handling COVID. And we also consider it criminal to let children freeze to death.
11
Go look at the US pardon Law it does not apply to people who are impeached. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_pardons_in_the_United_States#Constitutional_provision Forget the 25th he needs to be impeached, that way he's not only out but he can never get back. Further if they impeach Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump and all the others who hold official position so none of them can get pardons is also important.
10
Well actually he has a very serious issue with this. Now I am not a lawyer and I have asked for a couple pf lawyers to clarify this, but as far as I know even retired military can be still charged under the UCMJ and face a court martial, because their oath to serve, uphold and protect the constitution doesn't expire when they retire or are discharged. Under the UCMJ he does not have 1st Amendment Protection and can be charged with Sedition AND his pardon does not cover him for this. NOTE: I'd like to hear from a real lawyer on this or law professor or at least a law student.

@ShombayChase But don't you know Fox want it both ways. Maybe that's what Hannity, Carlson, et. al. should be asked "Are they Bi - since they all demand it both ways."
9
Look at the expressions on his face. He's either a narcissist or a sociopath whop gets off on this stuff. 'The whole saw him raise his fist on Jan 6th and goad that crowd on. He just said a real man takes responsibility so what has he claimed about Jan 6th.
9
@steffenbach3580 I have not said they are as corrupt as the Republicans (go back and read what I said), but you'd have to be blind and stupid to think they are truthful, innocent and sweet as sugar. Without any doubt the Republicans are (as recently described) "a ruthlessly cynical political actor." Mitch McConnell's view is "when we are in power we are allowed to do anything we like but when we are not in power we must interfere, obstruct and impede every aspect of the elected government." That's actually starting to permeate into every other democracy in the world. Its certainly more prevalent with right wing parties but that does not mean centrist and left wing parties don't get up to stuff as well. The staggering amount of money in politics from the billionaire class is beginning to paralyze nations. Every nation has issues - that's a simple reality, but we nobody's getting on and solving any of the major issues like water supply, energy supply, climate change or displaced people because the billionaire class have simply funded massive blocking campaigns. They are doing the same as big tobacco did for decades. If its not in their interests they start blocking campaigns funded via think tanks, political donations and the media. 🤷♂️🤷♀️

Well with a college education and 2 Masters Degrees (YES 2 an MBA from Connecticut and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard) he's gonna drive the anti-education faction completely of their rocking chairs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Fetterman The big question will be -> How will the Senate handle logical arguments instead of political opportunism?

When Graham made the comments a few weeks that he would NOT approve an Attorney General who would investigate Trump. Glenn Kirschner (former JAG & Federal Prosecutor) raised the point that Graham went from an outright anti-Trumper to a pro-Trumper after his emails were hacked. It was 2 months ago in early December and he did these 2 videos on the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EnN3MlFrdI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbaXO_Ogw4I

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.” ― Isaac Asimov, News Week, 1980. “Logic is an enemy and truth is a menace.” ― Rod Sterling introducing the Twilight episode “The Obsolete Man” originally aired on June 2, 1961 on CBS. “Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.” ― Voltaire “Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.” ― Aldous Huxley “Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” ― Mark Twain “Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche All great quotes but this one sums up the Republicans. “Nobody can get the truth out of me because even I don’t know what it is. I keep myself in a state of utter confusion.” ― Colonel Flagg of the CIA in an episode of M.A.S.H. sometime in the 1970s.

One of the better quotes a few have been commenting on. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Here's a couple of mine for reference. “Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.” ― Aldous Huxley “Never argue with an idiot. I'm Australian but went to college in America (U. Illinois) and in my personnel experience of being in places like Kentucky and Texas I can say for a fact that neither Mitch McConnell or Ted Cruz are representative of the GOOD people of those states. I spent my 1st thanksgiving in Bardstown Kentucky and visited Texas several times. I wasn't there for a semester I was there 3-1/2 years on a sports scholarship so I got to visit a lot of places and meet people from many states. And in my personnel experience then and since the American Political system does not represent the American people. Its certainly a reflection of their worst behaviors, but its certainly not representative of who they are as people - decent, honest and hardworking. If their was one thing I'd recommend to the bulk of the American people it would be to to TELL the the loud obnoxious ones like Ted Cruz and sneaky sleazy rats like Mitch McConnell to "Just shut the F--K UP and go away." (edit) P.S. One of my best road trips was to Texas. It was totally awesome. Years later I was there again passing through Dallas. On the plane I met this girl who a week later took me out to this awesome Tex-Mex restaurant. I've had some great times in Texas. So don't be ashamed of being Texan be ashamed that so many have allowed Ted Cruz to make Texas look bad. And yes that's exactly how I feel about some of our politicians. Take Care & Stay Safe - This stuff, COVID and other stuff are not done with us yet. 👍👍🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘

NAME the states that did not follow their laws? DESCRIBE how the did not follow their laws? Otherwise STFU.

No the correct label is "facilitator" as in someone who facilitates something, which in this case is allowing people to suffer. FYI - I'm an Australian who went to college in America (U. Illinois) and spent my first thanksgiving in Bardstown Kentucky. I knew others from Kentucky and in my personnel experience Kentuckians are decent people. So I find it incomprehensible that somehow Mitch McConnell represents them. He certainly does not represent their best interests or the American people.

What confuses a lot of people is why haven't any of them been recalled to active duty and court martialed - which has been called for.
6
As for Ted Cruz running for President you'll need to remind me where Calgary, Alberta is. Because last I heard and we heard it a lot between 2008 and 2016 that you are ineligible to be President if you weren't born in America. Ted Cruz (according to his bio) was born at "the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Canada, to Eleanor Elizabeth (née Darragh) Wilson and Rafael Cruz." -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz#Early_life_and_family Someone needs to call Justin Trudeau and tell him that Alberta has been annexed by America and they plan to rename it North Texas. Maybe NAFTA made Ted eligible, but that's a problem cos his buddy Trump tore that up. This is confusing. Is there anybody out there who can explain how Ted Cruz can run for President?
6
Yeah - he did?????????? But then his base live in an alternative reality and he panders to that reality. 🤷♂️🤷♀️

@timjilman3295 Look shit for brains we all know that the extension on mail in ballots was reversed by the courts and that it was the only case the Trumpists won and it was quite simple the judges said they could not arbitrarily extend the deadline. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT JUST LIEK EVERYONE KNOWS THAT IT DID NOT AFFECT THE FINAL OUTCOME EVERYONE KNOWS THAT COURT AFTER COURT HAS UPHELD THE ELECTION AND THAT EVERY STATE CERTIFIED IT ITS JUST NOTHING BUT BAD FAITH - TRUMP LOST and you can't handle that he lied and lied and lied to raise money to pay of his debts.
6
I'm Australian - DO ANY of these clowns know that this gets seen across the entire world (and almost instantly)? To be fair we have a couple that are just as stupid and just as awful. The only answer I have on ours is they simply don't care. They are speaking to their base 24/7 and nothing else matters. 🤷♂️🤷♀️

I'm Australian and I was In Canada 3 years ago when he tore up NAFTA and imposed tariffs on Canadian product. I think someone got that chart (at 5:26) has a typo - the right hand bars show % that can't be right. I just checked 74,223,744 voted for Trump out of 332 million - that's 22.3%. In Percentage terms that's claiming more Australians have confidence in Trump than Americans who turned up to vote for him. Its claiming almost as many Canadians have confidence as Americans who voted for him. B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T I was there and I saw the Canadian reaction and they were NOT HAPPY and had NO CONFIDENCE in Trump.

I'm Australian but went to college in America (late 80s). I did engineering but a bunch of my frat brothers were pre-law. They loved dragging me into discussion on things like the Bill of Rights. Out of those first 10 Amendments the most we discussed were the 1st & 4th 2 and the least were the were the 2nd & 3rd. Look at what Hamilton said about a "pertinacious minority" and how they could dominate majority opinion. Consider how the 2nd Amendment is NOW the foremost Amendment in public discussion. I've Trump stand up preaching about how he was THE person protecting their 2nd A. rights. When did he ever say he was protecting ALL their rights. Because they all seem to have forgotten that the NSA (& others) now have almost unlimited access to everyone's online activity. They can be watching everyone who reads these comments and start tracking and profiling all of us no matter what side we are on. TRUMP signed that into action. That's an amazing quote form Hamilton considering where America is right now. And for the record - I still think America is a great country with many great people, its just NOT at its best right now. If we are going to deal with some of the major world issues we actually need America at (or near) its best and right now you're just not there. If there is one thing that will help -> Get the money out of politics and that's not an American problem that's an EVERYWHERE problem. We have that problem in giant mining dump truck loads.

@yobiwolrd07 We all understand that sentiment but if they do go broke and need food just remember there's 74 million of them they are already upset, pissed off, wound up and we should all expect the majority of them own at least 1 gun. The scary moment hasn't yet happened and I truly absolutely hope it doesn't. What do you think will happen on December 14. There's only 2 versions of the same outcome, because it wont matter how the Electoral College votes there will be a massive crowd of angry people who feel they got cheated. Biden needs to get very tough and blunt with the Republicans. Either shut Trump up or you'll pay the price for it. Because every one of them who helps keep this crap going can be charged with sedition.
5
@yobiwolrd07 Sadly I think you're right. If they pursue Trump it will simply sink America into a sea-saw of going after one after another. Biden himself has baggage - they all have something. But I do think they might go after some of those around him. Trump himself might throw Kushner under the bus. But fundamentally the only way Trump goes to jail is if the Republicans do it or Trump is found to do have done something so bad it can't be ignored. The Republicans just might decide to get rid of him as he's too much trouble. The Lincoln Project people would certainly throw him in a cell. The old establishment Republicans (Bush Family & others) certainly don't like him. If you could break him away from the Evangelicals that would help. What might he have done to be found where it can't be ignored. He ordered the hit on Epst--n, to cover up his involvement with Epst--n.
5
No its a bit more than that - its an insult to the concept that humans can actually make progress.
5
Look at the logos in the bottom left and right corners. -> Real America's Voice (lower left) & Pandemic War Room (lower right). So "Real America" what's your take on the now 507,000 dead Americans from what you great leader called the Chi-nuh Flu. Over 1/2 a million dead and the war room is discussing how Rudy looked up a girls skirt. I thought Bannon was an asshole and not this stupid.
