How do people have faith that the electoral process works - charge the liars with sedition. Get them in a court and ram it home that these people LIED and that those LIES had consequences. The capitol was stormed, a police officer was killed, the flag was torn down and replaced by another flag. ALL BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE LIED and those LIES should HAVE CONSEQUENCES.

@Craig Norris I don't think charging them for simply lying would benefit anyone. Especially when "we the people" elect them knowing that at least in part they lied to us or at least made promises they can't keep and "we the people" accepted it. BUT once they take office and swear an oath they have to accept they are accountable. The real issue right now is not that these politicians lied, its that they lied to such an extent that very bad things happened. They need to be HELD ACCOUNTABLE for taking it TOO FAR. Think about a football game. Players commit fouls and most are benign and a yardage penalty is sufficient. But then you get idiots who target other players and do things so grievous that they get ejected. These politicians have likewise done things that are so grievous they also need to be "ejected."
