  1. Actually most people in Western society have NO IDEA about most of the "isms" and "cees" they yell and scream about actually are. The very basic meaning of words like capitalism, communism, socialism, fascism, neo-liberalism, totalitarianism, feudalism and what they actually do mean are is so badly taught these days. Then there's the "cees" of democracy, theocracy, oligarchy, plutocracy, kleptocracy,.... and they're even taught worse. Most people cannot separate what are functions of a society from what are political ideologies. That's not helped by the way politics operates, particularly since WW2 and even more so in the age of dis-information we now live in.
