@coopsnz1 What are you trying to say?
Do you actually know that capitalism, communism and socialism are NOT political although they appear that way because a number of countries claim that they are their political systems. Democracy, Feudalism, Serfdom, Monarchy, Totalitarianism, Dictatorships are political systems.
Capitalism, communism and socialism are economic systems (or functions) that operate in conjunction with political systems.
Capitalism is where people are able to make money and grow wealth.
Communism is where groups of people (or entire societies) collectively OWN things.
Socialism is where groups of people (or entire societies) collectively PAY things.
So public education, police & the military are forms of socialism because society collectively pays for it.
A publicly listed company whose ownership can be bought and sold openly is communal capitalism.
SO yes Australia because we have a publicly (as on collectively) funded education, healthcare, police, ambulance,.... systems is a more socialist society than we normally consider.
All that shite in Eastern Europe were just totalitarian dictatorships coated in a veneer of communism and socialism. America is a plutocracy controlled by a pack of billionaires with a veneer of democracy. Australia is sort of in between but far closer to American capitalism.
My parents were high school teachers and explained it to me when I was about 12.
