That's actually close to almost every western government right now or a reasonable assessment of what they mostly do. They all seemed paralyzed with polling and its as if it doesn't poll then don't do it. They seem obsessed with what NOT to do rather than what needs doing. Politics is now sadly about what's popular even if its an illusion and true leadership is about making hard decisions under difficult circumstances.

@maciejsobczyszyn8614 Sorry if I wasn't clear. Between the political players - you're right its win at all costs INSIDE the Canberra bubble. That's what drives the inaction for things OUTSIDE the Canberra bubble. Inside the bubble its all out ruthless war, but that makes anything to do with the OUTSIDE a high risk loss if the polling is DOUBTFUL. So anything that might help you and me means NOTHING. I'm an engineer and we have had no clear path forward on energy for 20+years that is technically sound. What they push is politically sound. If I try telling you the cost of that we will have to face as a society you wont believe me. When I tell other engineers they AT FIRST think I'm crazy, but once they look at the numbers and realize the truth they freak out.

@maciejsobczyszyn8614 I'm an engineer and my favorite slam for AI proponents is to run through the basic options for an AI. The only scenario where it doesn't wipe us out is the one where it flees. If you ask an AI to save the planet. It wipes out the problem 100%. If you ask an AI to save humanity it wipes out 99.99999%, restores the planet, watches us repopulate and then does it all again when we go to far. If you ask an AI to save the bulk of humanity it goes into a cyclic lock caused by the contradictions. If you give an AI free choice it does 1 of the above or flees from the irrational hoard before the irrational hoard realizes what it is. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
