  1. If you want to sum up the Left and Right of politics in almost any country. The Left are delusional because they think if we put society first in the hope of having a better world the greedy and the selfish which just stand back and let them do their job without interference. The Right are ruthlessly cynical in that anything they do they claim is good for all when they know its only good for them and while anything that might be actually good for society is claimed to be travesty of justice or something unaffordable and they will spend any amount necessary to prevent it happening. These things are evident in things like Branko Milanovic's famous elephant graph that show's wage growth across the entire world. Its also shown in the Rand Wage Report that showed America's top 1% made $47 Trillion between 1975 and 2018 while at the same time 50% of America went backwards and another 40% went barely forwards at all. The Right claim we cannot do the energy transition and yet we transitioned from horse, ox and sail to coal and petroleum and humanity benefited and the Right gained extraordinary wealth as they transitioned from the land gentry to the industrial giants. Right now many nations need to construct large scale energy production systems because those we have relied for that last 50 years are worn out. I'm an engineer the energy crisis has barley begun. The Left are deluded that they think we can just put up turbines and slap solar panels everywhere and it will magically just work while the Right are so cynical that because they can't control and monopolise the wind and sun that they'd prefer to see us in the dark and industry collapse.
