  1. I'm an aerospace engineer and Challenger happened while I was in college. By chance I was in Orlando only 16 days prior to Challenger and watched Columbia take off. Despite being around 55miles from Canaveral it was awesome to watch. When Challenger happened we were stunned, shocked, dismayed but also realised that space flight is hard and dangerous. One of my aerodynamics professors lost a good friend on that flight. The second disaster when yet again expertise was ignored was worse.
