Actually NO. Bernie needs to take on the role of the elder wiseman and guide the next generation to NOT make the mistakes he made and get better outcomes. Bernie's too old and he's had his go. What he should have done AFTER 2020 was grab the younger people like Ossoff, Warnock, Padilla and get them organised to do stuff in the Senate. Bernie should have dragged Andrew Yang away from the corporatist scum in the DNC and guided him. Yang was lead to the slaughter house by the DNC. That question that killed his New York run was a setup. Bernie should have jumped in and helped Warnock smash Herschel Walker. That race should never have gone to a run off. At the first go that should have ended in complete humiliation for the GOP. Bernie can't be president but he can be the Bill Belichick who coaches and guides a team.

You make a great point - its predatory capitalism NOT capitalism that's the problem. I recently bought a copy of Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations" it has 2 introductions. One it nuts the other is a brilliant essay by a professor from the LSE. He points out that Smith was concerned with EVERYONE in Britain having the opportunity to gain some wealth. Smith was actually reacting to the existing economics called "mercantilism" which was like predatory capitalism and resulted in entities like the British East India Company. We think Amazon and google are big. The BEI at one stage was 50% of the worlds economy. It took the British government 70 years to break it up and they only got there because they had a bigger army and a bigger fleet.

@walkertongdee How and Why? Common don't just make the claim tell everyone WHY and HOW he's what you claim?

Ukraine isn't actually getting money its getting hardware and most of the hardware is surplus or becoming outdated. Basically America is emptying its warehouses and getting rid of the stockpiles. That means those stockpiles will have to be replaced. That means some very juicy contracts for American military manufacturers. So when Biden sends a $billion to Ukraine it actually means a $billion contract for a supplier. The money is NOT leaving America at all.

Following on from the Rand corporation report Bernie mentioned. Recently Richard Wolf mentioned a report from the Congressional Budget Office on family wealth. Its easy to find by googling "congressional budget office family wealth" (the publication number 57598) Its downloadable but the main graph on the web page is interactive and you can see that data. Right now the bottom 50% of America is worth $2.3 Trillion while the top 10% is worth $82.4 Trillion. That's 36x the combined wealth for 1/5th the number of people. If you do the math each person in the top 10% of America is worth (on average) 180x what each person in the bottom 50% (on average) is worth. I don't know why Bernie isn't screaming from the roof top of congress about this report as his people in his office should have received it. Also that Rand report on wages is easy to find by googling "rand wages report" Its titled "Trends in Income From 1975 to 2018" (the report number is WRA516-1) FYI - I'm Australian but went to college in America which is part of why I watch America. I also watch America because our economics are also run by people who went to Harvard & Yale. I checked our Bureau of Statistics and there data (which is presented differently) shows that our top 20% are 90x the net worth (on average) of our bottom 20% (on average).

You are 1/2 right. Bernie needs to stay out of 2024 and 2028 no matter who is running. Bernie needs to take on the role of the elder wiseman and guide the next generation to NOT make the mistakes he made and get better outcomes. Bernie's too old and he's had his go. At the first go that should have ended in complete humiliation for the GOP. Bernie can't be president but he can be the Bill Belichick who coaches and guides a team. And for exactly the same reasons Biden needs to do similar. Kamala is not worth discussing. Not unless something seriously changes and she steps up her game orders of magnitude.
