  1. SORRY THOM You are 100% right that Trump was involved in an insurrection, but you and others are 100% WRONG that he committed treason. This is because the LEGAL DEFINITION of treason in America is very narrowly limited to times of war. If America had the same basic definition of treason that almost every other country on the planet has then Trump's phone call to Ukraine should have had him charged with treason because he was organising with a foreign party to act against American interests. If America had the same basic definition of sedition then Trump would have been in handcuffs after January 6th and in many countries would have been executed. BUT the Founding Fathers decided rightly or wrongly to get rid of the standard definitions of both treason and sedition which the British had used with utter ruthlessness against the American Colonials and every other nation they took over. Its also what many other European nations used to maintain control of their homeland as well as foreign territories. That's why America has the Impeachment system, which as far as I know NO OTHER COUNTRY in history has ever had. Its (as far as I know) unique to America, because the Found Fathers realised that with such narrow definitions of Treason and Sedition they would not have been able to deal with people like Trump. What the Founding Father's didn't plan on was people using the Senate and Supreme Court as weapons to undermine it.
