  1. There's already a string of words for it. Oligarchy - This is a more general term to describe any system of rule by a small elite of any type. All the rest below are specific forms of Oligarchy. Check Wikipedia if you want to know more. Monarchy - rule by a single person who inherited their position (North Korea) Dictatorship - rule by a single person who did not inherit their position. Theocracy - rule by a small elite priesthood (Iran, Saudi Arabia) Plutocracy - rule by a financial elite. (eg. America) Kleptocracy - rule by an elite who steal the nations resources and wealth. (eg. Russia)
