Just a word of caution. There were a staggering amount of conspiracy accusations following 9/11 and when the dust settled it was nothing more than an incredible intelligence failure of the CIA, NSA and FBI simply not sharing vital information. In the early days of the Bush Admin they pulled apart the FBI team that had been piecing together the entire Al Qaeda network. So there was no one coordinating the information and responses to threats. PBS Frontline did an episode called "The Man who knew" in 2002. Its kind of a legendary doco on what happens when management and/or politics interferes with expertise and common. Look at what Trump did with Obama's pandemic plans. Look at how Trump dealt with Dr. Fauci when Fauci contradicted him. My caution is to realise that Trump has screwed up institutions like the FBI - sacking anybody who said anything he didn't like. Was there a conspiracy to storm the capitol? I don't know, but if there was it has backfired spectacularly. We can say for sure was that there was a catastrophic security failure. We can also say for sure that Trump did not deploy additional security resources as it started to break. We know it cost 5 lives including a police officer on the same day COVID took a record 4134 lives and that Donald Trump has mismanaged BOTH. There actually isn't any need for theories no one can prove at this point. The simple facts tell enough - Trump is incompetent.

@tattooedtina327 Actually not in the slightest. The article of impeachment has to do with Trump inciting the crowd at his rally. This might be a contributing factor to the riot but it has nothing to do with his behavior at the rally.

@00bikeboy The worst thing that can happen is they don't give a clear and concise explanation. That and the people who made bad decisions get demoted or sacked. And that's an issue that goes well beyond this. Governments and corporations across the world are experts in NOT holding people at the top accountable.
