What's also in this is how much of a complete suck up Chris Anderson the Founder of TED & TEDx and how much brand damage that's doing. if you go a few years back there were some great TED & TEDx talks but I haven't seen a lot lately. I have these bookmarked for reference. 2013 Don Pettit's "The tyranny of the rocket equation" 2014 Nick Hanauer's "Beware, fellow plutocrats, the pitchforks are coming" 2017 Lera Boroditsky's "How language shapes the way we think" 2018 Emily Calandrelli's "Making science nicer, stupid" One of my favourite speakers Dr. Jonathan Trent has a bunch of TED/TEDx talks going back over decade but NONE for over 5 years. Go look at some of the stuff they now do. It comes across as a techno-hippie convention.
