  1. I'm Australian but went to college in America. That's exactly what's going on here in Oz as well as many other places. What's killing centrist parties around the world is they are so into appeasing people and afraid of hurting anyone's feelings that they just aren't getting anything done. The whole Trump thing is just a way for a lot of frustrated, disenfranchised, angry people who feel left out to wave a giant middle finger at the establishment. I thought Hilary Clinton was going to lose when she said she would not campaign in Michigan and instead would do fundraisers in New York with the clowns who closed all those factories across the Rust Belt. I went to college at U. Illinois so I know people form Michigan, Ohio,... etc. Irrespective of their background (education, profession,...) Hilary just flipped them off and that was always going to turn out bad. I can give you similar stories for Australia. British economist Gary Stevenson can explain similar stuff that's happened in Britain. Greek economist Yanis Varoufakis has explained similar stuff that's happened all across Europe. Just in the last week here in Oz I met people from France and Germany and they had similar stories.
