  1. What America needs to realise is that the immigration issue is NOT an American problem. Its a problem with the lack of development across the 3rd world. The developed world has spent decades exploiting these countries and often supported horribly ruthless dictatorships or doing other stupid things. We've allowed our corporations to get away with stuff that we'd never allow in our own countries. PLUS we shove our media (TV, film, music,... etc) down their throats and it repeatedly sends the message "Look at how fantastic our country is!" What does anyone expect? There's several billion people living in crap places with no future and they are constantly bombarded with messages of that tell them "You should want to live here!"

  2. Actually Donald Trump getting elected is just symbolic of what's going on across the entire developed world. People everywhere are getting tired of establishment parties that don't deliver. I'm Australian and we call this sort of thing a "protest vote" where people vote in protest against the current party in power. Often the party who's NOT in power puts up what we call a dummy candidate in places they don't expect to win. They're just there to have a name on the ballot and they win in a protest vote. Other times people vote for a minor party or independent as happened several times in our recent past. We even had an election where a billionaire, Clive Palmer (our very own Donald Trump) funded his own party and they nearly got some real power. The main problem we all have is people getting tired of establishment parties who just don't deliver because NO MATTER who gets elected "We the people" gets dumped for whatever the billionaire class want. Donald Trump exploited that in a weird way. Ramaswamy is trying it as well. Over in the UK Rishi Sunak is also on a similar theme. Silvio Berlusconi did it in Italy and that theme is "I'm different and not really part of their club!" combined with "I'm already a rich and can't be bought!"
