Go back and have a look at what happened. Yang was doing fine and then Bloomberg got involved and the Yang campaign picked up some establishment campaign strategists. His Israel-Palestinian comments were just idiotically bad in the environment, BUT what did foreign policy ever have to do with it the New York Mayor? He was badly advised and its just possible he was handed a loaded question where they new what would happen. After all IF these establishment strategists KNEW how to their job - why wasn't he ready for that sort of question. New York is an incredibly mixed cultural city. It has a huge Jewish population as well as substantial populations of other groups. SO WHY WASN'T HE READY? One explanation is they set him up. That or they're simply incompetent.

@thehumanity0 It all depends on how Yang pushes this new party. If he takes a leaf out of the Tea Party playbook and makes it a pseudo faction of the Dems then that's a very different thing than a whole new party. The other thing he could do is form it as a re-imagined 21st Century FDR Bull moose Party. The idea you can't have a 3rd party just flies in the face of reality. America has had numerous other parties in its history. Plus the Dems and Republicans have swapped places. It was the GOP lead by Lincoln who were the egalitarian leftists and freed the slaves while the Dems were the party that created the KKK. Even in the Regan years Regan had to fight against the Libertarian Party to get the GOP nomination. Its all a matter of how its sold to America. If he could muster the progressives who are already in congress and then its actually foreseeable that they could have what other countries call the "balance of power." Its when a major party doesn't hold enough of a majority to pass legislation in their own right and requires a coalition partner to get things done. Its effectively what the Tea Party did. Go look at Israel, its perfect example of that.

@theMosen No disagreements on any of that. Like any person in any field you are responsible for the consultants you hire. You are also responsible for taking their advice. Your also right in that he stopped doing what had gotten him as far as it did. His biggest mistake was thinking he could be "part of the club." Taking on those people was a mistake. Listening to them was even worse.

@Darke_Exelbirth You forgot to add that Bloomberg and the DNC clowns that jumped onto his campaign pressed the detonator.

@Darke_Exelbirth Yeah he brought into that stuff it went bang bang bang on him. As I said earlier if he plays this right it might work, but I don't know if he has the political savvy for that - YET. 🤷♂️🤷♀️
