I think you're right on the money. What's really telling is a couple of statisticians worked out that a shit load (as in several million) voted Republican for EVERYTHING ELSE (House, Senate & State) and Biden for POTUS. They looked at how many people actually voted and where the votes went across the board. Trump lost because he pissed off a chunk of the Republican base so much they voted Republican for everything except him.
