(high lighted mine) You'll find with most fundamentalist religious people as well as majority of generally religious people that they barely understand "their version" anyway. Its why they keep following the most convenient source of information. That's what the established ""traditional" churches as well as people like Kenneth Copeland rely on - a combination of wanton ignorance and convenience. And all of that i snot just a Christian issue either - all of them have it or do it.

  2.  UDon'tKnowMe  Your right and its not just a Christian thing either. For centuries the Catholics would not allow the Bible to be translated from Latin despite the fact it was not originally written in Latin. They did that so they could say anything from the pulpit and claim "see here it s right here on this page" and NOBODY could check because they could NOT read Latin. The Muslims do a very similar thing the Quran is only the Quran if its written and read in Arabic, but most of the Muslim world does not read, write or speak Arabic. There is a common religious tradition that you keep the bulk of the population ignorant of what is ACTUALLY written. Not condoning or criticizing anything they have done (and I am not one), but the only literate nation that was literate by their religious practices were the Jews. For most of the last 3,500 years they have been the only literate nation/tribe/culture. Its actually a command written by Moses on parents that they teach BOTH their sons and daughters to read and write. They ended up twisting that which was why Jesus said to them they had made the word of God invalid by their traditions. That's also a thing Christians have since ignored as well and often in fact almost all the time.

If you don't like something attack it - f--k civilized discussion just attack. I tell you how the Jews went from being a literate educated people to a failed society fail by following traditions that ARE NOT in their writings and you come back and you try and lump me in with them. Way to prove your an ignorant clown, who can't have a sensible discussion. And for the record there is emphatic archeological evidence that proves people like Moses and Abraham existed. Abraham who was even before Moses was shown to have business dealings with the king of ancient Ur (central Iraq). That got dug up in the mid 70s. Here I am agreeing with you and then explaining how these people IGNORE their own writings and what do you do. You throw me in with them. Way to prove you are just as ignorant as the people you condemn and ignorance is the real issue in the world right now. Just look at the Trump supporters for 5 minutes and if you have 1/2 a brain you'll see their ignorance. Then go watch Rachael Maddow or Chris Hayes for 5 minutes and you'll see the other side of that coin.
