Don't forget that if you go far enough to the left you find people who are just as bonkers. It doesn't matter if people get radicalized to the far right or far left its dangerous. They lose grasp with reality, facts don't matter and only their tribal group think means anything. And anybody who questions the group think in even the slightest way is immediately labelled a heretic that must be purged. We've seen this in the COVID lab leak discussion in recent weeks. David Pakman had on a virologist who was very good on most points but made a terrible mistake (and I don't if it was deliberate or just a simple mistake). He claimed the Chinese were NOT working on these viruses when we know they were. For putting up a correction to what he said people went bonkers. For putting up evidence that what he said was wrong people went totally off the deep end. I know Jordan Peterson is controversial and I certainly don't agree with some of what he's said but there was a point where he was being screamed at by far left SJWs as a right wing Nazi while at the same time Right Wing nutters were calling him a left wing shill. Its certainly more obvious amongst the right (at the moment) but never forget that people on the left can be just as radical and just as bonkers.

@TheHuxleyAgnostic Look calling JBP a loon only makes you look and sound like an SJW idiot in the context of his previous free speech efforts. In terms of his comments about Australia - he's simply just wrong, but then he's been dead wrong about other things like how we transition away from coal. I'm an engineer and I have called that out previously only to be met by a wall of anger from his supporters. Which is part of my argument now about tribalism. Getting in the road of sensible discussion. In terms of COVID numbers yours are simply wrong as well. I am Australian but went to college in America and have been monitoring the region where I went to college (U. Illinois). If I add up the populations of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin its almost identical to Australia's population. Other than the winter weather the land area and urban spread (if you understand the layout of Australia) isn't as different as people think. They have over 50,500 dead compared to Australia's 1116. Alternatively had we done what Sweden did we'd have around 36,700 dead. So I agree that JBPs comments on Australia being a police state are loony and he needs to be told to F-off like a few others on that subject. Every time someone does try, we simply ask that idiot to tell us which of 30 or 40 or 50,000 Australians we should just let die. They usually shut up at that point.

@TheHuxleyAgnostic There is one good thing about what people have found regarding the Chinese Research and I wish the people who are screaming it can't be a lab leak would see this. COVID was NEVER a bio-weapon and the conspiracy clowns were just. Oddly the NIH links and the research that's been published proves this. If it was a weapon why was it being done in a lab where Americans were present? If it was a weapon why were they publishing papers on what they were doing? Weapons are developed in secret places and you never tell the world what you did. That's the good news. The bad news is that there's a lot of people who wont listen or examine what has been found. The Conspiracy people hate me because I've disproven their garbage and the other side hate me because they wont admit there is the possibility of a lab leak because that fractures their tribal reality.

Just imagine how nuts it might be if its from COVID or if someone claims it was COVID. A few weeks back (in a similar vein) somebody commented publicly that their bigger fear wasn't if he ran in 2024 but if he lost in 2024. What would that do to his supporters?

@Soleilune1995 I truly get the gist of what you are saying but that's got to be the last thing you want to have happen. On the other hand how you re-connect these people with reality is going to be hard. They are lead by a complete sociopathic narcissist in Trump. The best hope is Trump does something so stupid that people just stop because they can't deny what's happened. There was that bit Kyle highlighted about Rick Wiles after My Pillow accused him of conspiring with Biden. Is own word were "if this guy is this wrong about this then how do we believe anything he said." That's the sort of thing that needs to happen. It almost did when Trump turned on Fox for a few weeks. Murdoch is the key to it. Find a way to expose him and you find a way to get past this.
