  2. It started long BEFORE he bought twitter. Tesla stock was seriously over priced. There have been people pointing out for some time that the market value (share price multiplied by the number of shares) of Tesla was more than the 10 largest car manufacturers. Tesla makes a few hundred 1000 cars a year while those 10 manufactures make millions of cars. Each car only makes so much money. The analysts have NOT been saying the cars are poor but they are saying the stock is massively overpriced. I'm an engineer and have ridden in one and they are good as any other car I have ridden in. In the trip I took they only noticeable thing was charging. Its not like filling a car at a station. You plug it in and go away for an hour or so. If you time right you go for lunch, do some shopping or have a meeting. On Elon's other stuff. I'm an aerospace engineer and the Falcon part of SpaceX is excellent while Starship is a fantasy. Things like Starlink, Hyperloop and Teslabot were doomed before they started. Starlink will go the same way as the Iridium phone system because who really needs it? Hyperloop wasn't his idea. It was first written about by Robert Goddard over a century ago. As for Teslabot go watch the footage and compare it Boston Robotics.
