We privatized our ELECTRICITY being told "competition and a free market would deliver better cheaper services." We now pay among the highest rates in the world for electricity. I was in Canada a few years ago for work they pay 15cents a kilowatt hour we pay 55cents. We privatized our GAS being told "competition and a free market would deliver better cheaper services." We are now the largest exporter of LNG (liquid natural gas) in the world. BUT I can by Australian produced LNG in Japan and bring it back to Australia and sell it into our market for a profit. We privatized our WATER being told "competition and a free market would deliver better cheaper services." That was all designed by an Australian educated at Harvard. Our water market is designed along the lines of the Texas Energy Market and its failing us the same way. We have been told again and again how privatizing public assets would provide "competition and a free market that would deliver better cheaper services." IT HAS NEVER WORKED - NOT ONCE.
