There you go putting logic out front of a discussion where logic was the thing that didn't exist. I'm an engineer and we have standards for reasons. So what you're saying makes perfect sense to me. But I also have to work around people with degrees in economics, business management and law. Its seems like they are trained and take classes classes in "How to get around rules, regulations, standards, guidelines and practices" plus anything else that they perceive as obstructing what they want. In engineering the best example of this was the Boeing Max-8, where for that sake of sales bonuses they threw the Boeing system and FAA regulations into a bin, then set the bin on fire before dumping it in the Ocean. FYI - my degree is aerospace and I have qualifications in safety engineering. The Max-8 will be the case study in standards and regulations engineers study for decades into the future.
