Go look at his technological issues on some of the debunk channels and you'll find he's NOWHERE near as technically savvy as he claims or his fans promote. On the flip side to that he's done some great things. I'm an aerospace engineer who works in other industries and I honestly think that what he's done for breaking the lethargy of the auto industry moving to electric and hybrid vehicles is utterly outstanding. Since busting my butt to get my degree what he's done with breaking the stranglehold Boeing and others had on NASA is the best news I've had in over 30 years. BUT on the negative side his stupidity of promoting technologies that were NEVER going to work the way he claimed like driverless cars, hyperloop and his Mars colonisation was at a level that's only going to harm the entire STEM community and technological progress. For anyone who doubts that go look at what happened with SolarCity. I think Kyle's right we need to wait and see what he does with Twitter, but considering what's recently happened in the judgement against Elon over SolarCity I wonder how he's even able to this. @7heHorror Simple question - name a billionaire who likes being criticised for their shady deals? Hint - Elon just lost a massive court case in Delaware over his interference in the Tesla bailout of SolarCity. Common Sense Skeptic did a whole series going over the trial transcripts. @ClarkPotter At least trying WHAT exactly? I have repeatedly told people his kicking the auto industry out of its lethargy is great and breaking the stranglehold Boeing and others had on NASA & Spaceflight IS FANTASTIC. BUT that does NOT excuse the stupid things he's done and the stupid things he keeps doing. Do you know he's one of the major reasons there are supply chain issues across the entire Western World? Yeah all his BS crap talk over driverless trucks caused people to NOT train as truck drivers. There's now a world wide shortage of truck drivers. That's a huge part of the supply chain issues as we come out of COVID. Is the single main reason? NO, but he's a major component. Then there's the whole SolarCity debacle, where he ripped off the Tesla shareholders to bailout his own cock up and SolarCity was a disaster.
