Your right, but then how would those billionaires afford their next superyacht if Biden paid of the student debt instead of giving them contracts for stuff.

@octaviorodriguez6849 Just so you know that happened EVERYWHERE across the Western world during the 1970s & 1980s. It was part of the economics package that was inspired by Milton Freidman. He was a total manipulative narcissist and there are people who still worship him today. Freidman was insane. Go look at some of Thom Hartman's videos on neoliberalism.

@octaviorodriguez6849 I'm not into Freidman's life that much and I'm not into studying his nonsense that much either. And its Freidman not Freemen, but I think you just muffed that one. The evidence his ideas were WRONG are self evident, Just look where all the Western economies are these days. I'm actually an aerospace engineer who works in industrial automation. I have personally watched the disaster that neoliberalism had on Western manufacturing. I started looking into economics so I could push back against clowns with economics degrees interfering in projects. The more I look into economics and where we might start getting ideas from the more frustrated I get. Economics is now so narrowly focused on market dynamics that the entire profession (even the mavericks who are trying to be different) is so stuck in a flawed mentality we are almost doomed to collapse. Thom Hartman's done a series of books on American history and one was on Freidman's neoliberal economics. He's not the only source but he's a good start on the subject.

@cb4354 That's a good point about useless degrees or at least degrees with less relevance to the majority of society. On the other hand there also need to be public discussions about the financial influence on certain degrees, especially economics, business and law. One of the major reasons why there's so much wealth inequality is that economics is taught from a very narrow perspective of markets and markets being the solution to everything.
