  1. Yesterday I watched professor Michael Sandel interviewed on the Majority Report. He's just updated his 1998 (25 years ago) book titled "Democracy's Discontent: America in Search of a Public Philosophy" the interview is titled Democracy's Discontent: Unraveling Neoliberalism and Elite Power | Michael Sandel There's so much in that interview you need to watch it several times. He predicted all this sort of stuff 25 years ago. FYI - I'm Australian but went to college in America in the late 80s. Around that time there were a series of sex scandals among the Televangelists like Jim Baker. Despite all the evidence and the facts people still sent those scumbags money and are still sending them money today. I'm not surprised America has gotten to this point BUT I am also incredibly sad it has got to this point. In general I love America and its culture but American politics is a disgusting toxic swamp that is a serious threat to the planet.
