@Sabundy I'm an engineer. Its hard explaining how ridiculous Hyperlolypop is. If you haven't heard it was first written about back in 1904 by Robert Goddard who is the father of modern rocketry. Its about as sensible as saying I have this amazing new way to power vehicles using grass as the input fuel and water as the lubrication system - I call it the hyperhorse.

Actually you misspelled it. Its actually "Hyperlolypop" because it sucks. For some strange reason people keep leaving out the LYP in the middle.

It depends on your definition of "perfect world." In a perfect world everybody would have the intellect of a brain surgeon and the athleticism of an Olympic gold medalist and that's just not the case. I'm an engineer and have worked in manufacturing and the vast majority of people on the manufacturing floor need the protection of a Union and that can provide them with the ability to collectively negotiate their wages and conditions. If you take the average college graduate and put them in a room against the boss his accountant and lawyer they have NO CHANCE. People off the shop floor have even less chance of negotiating anything. These workers need somebody who looks after their interests and can deal with management anybody who can't understand that has never been in manufacturing at any level. What nobody needs is a return to the insane militant unions of the past lead by psychopaths only out for their own power.

@JP-xg6bv Only 1/2??? That's lenient.

@Sigma Dude The reason why you can't tell with a fanatic is because laws, rules, consistencies don't matter to them. They're usually driven by 1 singular motivation (power, greed, addiction, delusion, whatever) and everything else they say or do can flip or change moment to moment in the pursuit of that 1 thing. Its what makes them so unpredictable with what they might do next versus being totally predictable if you can work out that motivation.

@Sigma Dude Yeah the harder thing is that they come in so many flavors these days. If its not 5G maniacs, its anti-vaxxers. If its not anti-vaxxers its hyper-greenies. If its not hyper-greenies its conspiracy clowns. If its not conspiracy clowns its ultra nationalists or worse racial supremacists (and they come in every color). And if its none of those SJWs or wokes or some religious nutcase screaming at us with another guilt trip. I think its a major part of the worlds stress right now. Every direction we look there's some nutcase screaming at us.

@Sabundy It starts with the fact he claimed something that wasn't even close to original as his own idea. Then its something he copied from one of the greats of aerospace engineering. Then its something that was never practical. You see even the greats have ideas that once evaluated even they go "Yeah - that won't work" and they move on. Only the frauds flog dead horses.

I can see the time this guy steps out his front door into a John Lennon moment, except there wont be any tributes. People like this guy just don't get how stressed the entire Western World is right now. Even before COVID we had 40+ years of almost zero wage growth for the middle class and less than zero wage growth for the working class and this clown think he can just keep pressing peoples buttons. Go look up the Elephant Graph that shows wage growth over the last 40+ years.
