  1. What people need to realise is that these people are either War Babies (also called the Silent Generation) or the oldest part of the Baby Boomers. They feel like they RE-BUILT the world after World War 2 and then fought off Communism through the Cold War. They see the younger Baby Boomers as spoilt, Generation-X as irrelevant, the Millennials as arrogant and the Zoomers as irrelevant. Go and look at some of the business leaders and how many of them are in their late 80s or 90s - Charlie Munger, Warren Buffet, Rupert Murdoch, Charles Koch.... etc. There is a belief among them that they are the ONLY people who can run things and get things done. ALL of the younger generations are just immature fools and spoilt brats. There's something about the War and the post War era that psychologically scarred them and they can't let go. The youngest of Warren Buffet's 3 children recently turned 65 (the standard retirement age) and yet he and Charlie Munger can't let go of the power they wield at Berkshire Hathaway. Murdoch is the same at News Corp. Look at how some of the worlds political leaders from this age group who REFUSE to let go of power and go away.
