  1. That's an incredible way to describe it and horrendously TRUE. It begs the question: When did we put the polls (and polling data) in front of people? I used to watch the West Wing and it never occurred to me until recently that at every moment of decision they'd run a pole. If the answer back wasn't good they ran another pole BUT with the question reframed. One of the biggest issues in the world is polling and how the questions are asked. I worked out that more than anything Politicians commission polls to find out HOW to sell a policy or HOW to attack an opponents policy. Polling is not about finding out what the public thinks or wants. Polling is about how formulate their political strategy.
