  1. That's a sensible comment and its a discussion that's worth having. But understand: Its also exactly the same argument the NRA use that resulted in Columbine, Sandy Hook, Uvalde,... Its also exactly the same argument the tobacco industry used for decades resulting in millions of deaths. Its the same Libertarian argument that has resulted in so much harm around the world. Every freedom the world has ever known has been exploited by at least 1 person at a cost to others. We call such people greedy, selfish or describe them as narcissists or other psychological terms. The problem with all freedoms has never been the benefits they brought any person of any society. They were simply grateful to be allowed to do something whether they did it or not. That's called the freedom to choose. The problem has always been those few who take that freedom wrap it around a big stick. They then beat the rest of society with that stick extolling their virtue: "Look how great freedom is. I am free to beat you with my stick."
