You can almost ask that for EVERY other country on the planet. Its just that its more obvious in America. FYI - I'm Australian and we have scandal after scandal. We have the Murdoch media here - in fact it started here. I was in Canada a few years ago for work and they had a scandal over a juicy government contract that went to a company OWNED by the politician in charge of the department that issued the contract. The most bizarre thing for me this week was yesterday I watched the Al Jazeera live stream (here on YT). It just happened the presenter was an Australian and if she had not have said where each of the stories come from I would not have known if she was in Doha or Sydney. One story on French Train drivers striking over pay was IDENTICAL to a story recently here on train drivers striking over pay.
