There's a great comment form way back in the 80s by an ex-KGB agent and his description of what brainwashing really means is. Its not about convincing someone of something its about getting them to the point where no matter what evidence is before them they can't come to a sensible conclusion.   7.  @blackninjah8641  I think your right to some extent. The Americans have always been scared the Russians would find something to exploit. In a way they eventually did which was how they have exploited social media. But even then the cracks were already there. All the Russians ever did was push them open a bit more. Americans have the hardest of all enemies to deal with - themselves.
