  1. Exactly because they enable people to understand the world. Go and look at what happens during ANY revolution irrespective if the revolution is Leftist or Right Wing. Certain groups of people are immediately targeted for termination. After Lawyers, because they can argue the law, the next most often targeted group are teachers and especially College professors because they challenge people to learn how to think for themselves. Journalists like to make out how they are targeted, but in actual fact they are #3 on the list. Shhhh don't say anything journalists like to think they are #1.
